Established in 2004, Ma'ase is an organization that operates volunteer frameworks for young people in Israel with the aim of promoting equal opportunity and social mobility.

In the current Ma'ase activity year of 2009-10, approximately 600 volunteers aged 18-21 are performing a volunteer year in the community. They are from varied populations in Israeli society: Jewish, Arab, religious and secular, with both strengthened and weakened backgrounds. They all volunteer, on an equal basis, in a unique program focused on three central aspects: professional volunteering, leadership training and education.

Ma'ase is developing knowledge and building a high-quality, professional outlook for working with young people within the different volunteer frameworks, to create an empowering experience, and to make the volunteering phenomenon equally accessible to the entire population.
