Rashi Foundation |
The Rashi Foundation is one of the leading private family foundations in Israel. The foundation was established in 1984 but dates back to the mid-19th century. It operates with a dual vision: On the national level the Foundation works to strengthen the most vulnerable systems of Israeli society. On the individual level it provides aid to disadvantaged children, teens and families, helping them fulfill their potential and establish themselves as independent and contributing members of the community.
The activity of the Rashi Foundation can be divided into 2 main categories: Programs in the fields of education and welfare, and initiative to establish or upgrade structures aimed to supply an appropriate and convenient infrastructure for the running of quality programs. The education and welfare programs can be classified in 5 main categories: narrowing educational gaps, at-risk children and youth, encouraging excellence and promoting leadership, special needs and other matters of interest.
