Locating and Recruiting Young Volunteers
IsraCorps strives to form groups of volunteers in conjunction with various organizations (Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel, Israel Scouts, and National Service NPOs) that share its goals and values.
In addition, IsraCorps initiates special volunteer groups: the Arab Sector, that works within the community to expand volunteerism in this sector; Prep for Girls of Ethiopian origin, a program that combines volunteering and high school equivalency studies; Volunteers from the Periphery; Graduates of Branco Weiss Schools (to prevent school dropouts).
IsraCorps works in cooperation with government bodies (Society and Youth Administration, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Defense, Local Authorities). In the framework of these partnerships IsraCorps operates pilot programs for national service in the Arab sector, women soldiers in the Community Nahal Corps, and women soldier teachers.
Training and Guidance
IsraCorps provides intensive and extensive social, professional and developmental training and guidance for the volunteers. The training enables social encounters with youth from all strata of Israeli society around a common subject – professional involvement in educational and social issues that arise through volunteering.
Placement
IsraCorps firmly believes that education is a basic and crucial condition for providing equal opportunities for youngsters of all ages. To apply this, IsraCorps members volunteer mornings in the formal education system in the periphery through existing bodies with proven records of narrowing learning and social gaps by increasing knowledge and improving the student's self-image. The main strategic partner for this is the Tafnit ['turning the corner'] Program. In addition, the IsraCorps team developed a unique educational mentoring program (

currently operating in the Arab sector) for reducing gaps and empowering youngsters. In the afternoon the volunteers are engaged in informal frameworks, based on local needs.
