Ministry of Defense – The Branch for Societal Security Affairs
The Branch is charged with carrying out the Defense Minister's policy regarding security settlements and encouraging youth to join settlements and national missions. The efforts focus on pre-enlisted youth.
The Branch deals with all matters connected to youth and the Nahal Corps, including contact with settlement movements and institutions, youth movements, and government and public bodies. The branch encourages volunteering for an additional "Service Year" and cooperates with IsraCorps to this end.
Ministry of Education – Society and Youth Administration
The Society and Youth Administration is responsible for running the informal education system and promoting education for social values in Israel. The Administration focuses on readying youth for a fulfilling social and cultural life and gives them skills to be responsible and involved Israeli citizens in their community. The Administration is active in the following fields: content and programs, youth advancement, social education, youth and community, the Arab sector, religious public education, etc. The Education Ministry cooperates with IsraCorps in placing volunteers in schools in the mornings to narrow learning gaps in the periphery.
